One time, a young Bruce Wayne was sneezing up a storm. He had been sick all day, and unsure as to why. His parents had been away at the business, and he was alone with Alfred.

Alfred made him soup, tucked him into bed, and even rushed him to the hospital at midnight when Bruce’s fever got too high.

Since then Alfred has been the one Bruce runs to with a cold.
